Campaign One At A Time ("the Organization") is committed to a fair, transparent, and mission-aligned process for selecting children to participate in our DREAM-granting programs. This policy ensures that all applicants are evaluated based on consistent criteria while prioritizing those in greatest need.

Beneficiary Eligibility & Selection Policy:

Eligibility Criteria - to qualify for consideration, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicant must be under the age of 18 at the time of application and dream fulfillment.

    • To be eligible for campaign participation, the applicant must be under 18 years old at the time of application and at the time of fulfillment. If the participant turns 18 before the campaign goal is met, OAAT will assess eligibility based on partners’ policies and funding availability. In cases where the campaign cannot proceed due to age restrictions, any raised funds will be allocated to the DREAM BANK to support other eligible campaigns.

  • Have a life-threatening or severe chronic medical condition as verified by a licensed physician.

  • Have a legal guardian provide written consent for participation.

Program Limitations:

  • The Organization reserves the right to approve or deny any request based on available resources, feasibility, and alignment with the Organization’s mission.

  • DREAM experiences do not include monetary gifts or direct financial assistance.

  • If a beneficiary’s medical condition changes significantly after selection, the Organization may need to modify or reschedule the experience.

Partnership & Sponsorship:

  • The Organization only partners with companies and sponsors aligned with its mission and values.

  • Any corporate partnerships must be approved by the leadership team to ensure ethical alignment.

Third-Party Fundraising & Campaign Representation:

  • Any independent fundraising on behalf of the Organization must receive prior approval to ensure alignment with branding and mission guidelines.

  • Individuals or groups raising funds must disclose their relationship with the Organization to avoid misrepresentation.

  • Unauthorized fundraising efforts may result in disassociation from the Organization.

Assumption of Risk & Voluntary Participation:

Participation in any Organization-sponsored event, trip, or experience is entirely voluntary. By participating, beneficiaries, families, volunteers, and any other involved parties acknowledge that they are assuming all risks associated with these activities, including but not limited to:

  • Travel-related incidents (e.g., flight delays, accidents, or cancellations).

  • Unforeseen health complications or medical emergencies.

  • Accidental injury, illness, or other physical harm.

  • Venue- or activity-related risks, including amusement parks, outdoor excursions, and public gatherings.

  • Acts of nature, such as weather conditions impacting events.

Release of Liability:

By signing the Organization’s Agreements, participants agree that:

  • The Organization, its staff, volunteers, donors, and partners are not responsible for any injuries, accidents, illnesses, or other harm that may occur during participation in any event, campaign, or travel experience.

  • The Organization assumes no liability for personal property loss, theft, or damage that may occur at events or during travel. Participants are responsible for securing their own belongings.

  • The Organization is not responsible for any expenses incurred due to unforeseen cancellations, delays, or medical needs during participation.

Medical & Emergency Situations:

  • The Organization does not provide medical advice, treatment, or emergency care. Any medical concerns before, during, or after participation should be addressed with a licensed healthcare professional.

  • Recipients and their legal guardians are responsible for all costs related to medical attention needed during the trip. Families must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions before participating in travel or high-risk activities.

  • If a child or family member becomes ill before or during the trip and cannot join scheduled activities, the Organization is not required to extend, reschedule, or modify reservations. However, we will do our best to assist within our capacity.

  • If a child can no longer attend indefinitely due to medical complications or passing, the Organization is not obligated to provide a refund or alternative assistance, though we will make every effort to offer guidance and support.

Unforeseen Circumstances & Force Majeure:

The Organization is not liable for interruptions, delays, or cancellations caused by:

  • Natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes, wildfires, extreme weather).

  • Transportation issues (e.g., flight delays, road closures).

  • Unexpected family emergencies (e.g., sudden illness or hospitalization).

  • Global or local events beyond the Organization’s control (e.g., pandemics, government restrictions).

If a trip is impacted by an unforeseen event, the Organization will make reasonable efforts to assist but is not required to rebook or reschedule trips.

Acknowledgment & Indemnification:

By signing the Agreements, recipients and their legal guardians agree to:

  • Hold harmless the Organization, its staff, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees).

  • Understand that the gift is non-transferable and non-refundable.

  • Acknowledge that all decisions regarding scheduling, travel arrangements, and accommodations are at the sole discretion of the Organization.

Code of Conduct for Volunteers & Staff:

  • Treat all children with respect and dignity.

  • Avoid inappropriate language, behavior, or gestures.

  • Do not engage in any form of discrimination, harassment, or abuse.

  • Follow all Organization guidelines when interacting with children and families.

  • Maintain professionalism and treat all individuals with respect.

  • Refrain from engaging in any activity that could harm the reputation of the Organization.

  • Do not solicit donations or funds for personal gain.

  • Follow instructions from Organization leadership and work collaboratively with other volunteers.

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Volunteers must complete an application and provide references if required.

  • A background check is required for roles that involve direct interaction with children.

  • Volunteers must comply with all Organization policies and guidelines.

Termination & No Appeal:

  • The Organization reserves the right to terminate any volunteer, beneficiary, or donor relationship at its discretion without appeal if their actions conflict with the Organization’s values, policies, or mission.

  • Reasons for termination may include but are not limited to, non-compliance with policies, safety risks, or reputational harm.

Misrepresentation & Fraud:

  • Any beneficiary, volunteer, or donor found to have misrepresented information for personal gain will be disqualified from participation and may be subject to legal action.

  • The Organization reserves the right to request additional verification for medical conditions, financial needs, or donor transactions.

Financial & Donation Policy:

  • Donation Guidelines:

    • All donations are voluntary, final, and non-refundable after 72 hours, except in cases of administrative errors.

    • Donated funds are allocated toward program expenses, operational costs, and other mission-aligned initiatives.

    • The Organization does not provide direct financial assistance or unrestricted cash disbursements.

  • Financial Transparency:

    • The Organization maintains financial records in compliance with nonprofit regulations.

    • Donors may request reports on how funds are used to ensure accountability.

  • Refund Requests:

    • Requests for refunds must be submitted within 72 hours and will be reviewed case by case.

    • Refunds will only be considered for duplicate transactions, incorrect amounts, or administrative errors.

Ownership & Use of Content:

  • All content on this website—including text, images, graphics, logos, and other materials—is owned by or licensed to Campaign OAAT. These materials are protected under copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.

  • Any reproduction, distribution, modification, or use of our content beyond personal use—whether for commercial purposes or otherwise—without prior written permission from Campaign OAAT is strictly prohibited.

Policy Amendments:

This policy may be updated as necessary to align with best practices and legal requirements. Changes will be communicated through the Organization’s official channels.
