Damian has been fighting medulloblastoma since he was 6 years old. He is now 15. When he was 6, he had surgery to remove the tumor and also underwent chemotherapy, radiation, and a stem cell transplant. He was in remission for 4 years when a scan showed relapse. He went through another surgery to remove what they could, but there was one spot left on his spine. He went on a maintenance chemotherapy, which kept the little bit of tumor stable all the way up until January 22, 2022 when they noticed a small difference on his scan which then lead to a confirmed relapse in May of 2022.

Since then, he has been on a new protocol and it has been incredibly hard for him. He has truly gone through more than any 15 year old child should have to. Because of all of the treatments and damage they have done to his body, he can no longer play any sports and can't attend regular schooling. He doesn't have very many friends due to all of the isolation he has to endure to stay safe. He also suffers from the lack of growth hormone, which has lead to many growth and development problems. His mom says he’s been 4’3 for years, which has got to be hard on a teenage boy. Through all of this pain and struggle, their family has had little to no support.

Well, that’s about to change today.

With your help and donation of $1, we can help lift this family up. They will no longer have to walk this difficult road alone and without help. Every single family that goes through this life with childhood cancer deserves so much love and support. I know for us and many others, it’s truly what carries us through.

I’m truly hoping that these fundraisers only grow as you all share this mission with those around you. Please stress the importance of them taking the time along with you to donate $1 to a family in dire need of support. Thank you all for believing in this mission and for your constant love and support. It takes a village.

Charlie’s village.
