DREAM TRIP TO DISNEY WORLD
AND GIVE KIDS THE WORLD VILLAGE

oaat-july-campaign-south-aubreybelldavis

Aubrey has always been outgoing. Since she was born, she was always smiling. Before giving birth to her, I wasn't sure I even wanted kids. I don't think she will ever know how much she changed my life for the better.

When I found out she had leukemia, my world fell apart. The worst thoughts were going through my mind how would I ever live without her? How could this happen to the most wonderful little girl? She is a trooper, though. She has been handling this better than any of the adults.

This diagnosis has not changed Aubrey. She still loves to hang out with friends, play outside and watch YouTube videos. She's always been very creative; I think being in the hospital and doing arts and crafts often has helped her be even more creative. There were some really rough days, though. The day she had a seizure was about as scary as the day she was diagnosed. I'm just glad she doesn't remember.

I'm also glad that Aubrey doesn't have any negative feelings about being in a hospital. All the nurses were wonderful, and Aubrey looked forward to seeing the nurses.
During her main treatment, we missed several fun events. We missed the 4th of July celebrations; we missed her Aunts wedding (she was supposed to be a flower girl). We missed several birthdays and big holiday celebrations because of being admitted or because it was not safe for her to be around large groups. Aubrey missed all the fun trips and parties in 3rd grade. Overall, our entire family missed a year and 1/2 of everything.

Being able to have a dream trip will help make up for all the missed parties/ trips. We had been very limited on any vacations. This would also mean the world to her little sister, who sometimes gets left out of the picture.
