A Blessing And A Memory That We Will Have Forever

Campaign One At A Time hosts a yearly gift giving party here in the Philippines that started back in 2019. We handout gifts to the Kids and gift cards to their Families to extend assistance.

Charlie was one of the Kids that we were supposed to party with when we held this Thanksgiving party again November of last year(2022), unfortunately, he's not in good shape, but we get to meet his Mom, Grace. His DREAM was to get a teddy bear, so YES! we gave him a HUGE ONE! His face lit up when Mom got home and handed over the gift, he was so happy! we all hope to have witnessed the moment.

February 6th, we received the regretful news of Charlie's passing. He was 9-years-old and was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when he was only ONE. He fought this battle for over 9 years.

Me and Tania, team members from the Philippines raised 10,526.35 pesos overnight and was able to provide assistance to Charlie's Family personally.

This is where Mom mentioned Charlie was only given until December(2022) to live; just days after our Thanksgiving party. We couldn't imagine how painful this news is, for a mother to know that your child will be taken away. We couldn't express how we would've wanted to meet and celebrated with Charlie when we had the chance. But Charlie was indeed a warrior he did put up a good fight until the very end.

Charlie will always be an inspiration, he's a blessing and a memory that we will have Forever.
