20 Dreams Come True!

On October 15th, we hosted our 2022 Stay Golden Gala at The Ranch, in Anaheim, Ca. This was Campaign One At A Time's first ever invite only event, as well as our first ever live streamed event. In attendance, we had 11 of our honored families, 135 of our most loyal supporters and #ChangeMakers, and over 200 supporters attending digitally. The night started with guests walking the gold carpet to be greeted by our gold carpet hosts Jenny Brown and Asia Woodley. Guests then took photos with The Los Angeles Laker Girls, and proceeded to The Den, for an unlimited beer and wine happy hour.

From there, guests walked towards the ball room, where they could hop into a photo booth experience, as well as take part in a 360 camera experience, both provided by Cliq Cliq Photo. During the dinner reception, keynotes were given by Dream Coordinator Kaitlyn Andrew, Bereaved Family Directors Chris & Michelle Sullivan, Ellix Gilman's Mom Jess Gilman, and our founder Brodi Nicholas. From there, our host Robert Gonzalez and Brodi took us into the most exciting part of the evening.

Robert and Brodi set out to raise $53,000 in 15 minutes to make 20 dreams come true. It was just last year that it would take Campaign One At A Time one month to make one dream come true, and now the team was on a mission make 20 dreams come true in just 15 minutes! After just 4 songs played through the sound system, we surpassed our goal by raising over $57,000! It was a magical moment for everyone involved, and a historical moment for Campaign One At A time. View the moment here.

Before the night came to an end, Brodi gave out 3 awards.

The 2022 Spread Good Award went to The Croxen Family for their passion and dedication to helping Campaign One At A Time spread good to more kids over a year after Jocelyn's Campaign. Jocelyn Croxen battled leukemia, and was a 2021 campaign kid, who’s dream to visit the Dinosaur National Monument was fulfilled in June of 2021.

The 2022 #ChangeMaker award went to Valerie Schrader, who joined the Campaign One At A Time community in the winter of 2020, and has been a vital donor, resource, and supporter ever since! Valerie is a cancer survivor herself, who has a huge passion for helping others and creating meaningful relationships with our OAAT families.

Lastly, the 2022 Team MVP award went to Community Outreach Coordinator Angela Guzman, who started with Campaign One At A Time in the spring of 2022 as a volunteer intern, and has grown into a full time team member. Angela was also a coordinator for this year's gala! She is a huge asset to The Campaign One At A Time team and everyone is excited to see her spread more good!

We'd like to extend a special thank you to Andrew at A1-Productions for sponsoring our evening's photos, Eddie at Cliq Cliq Photo for sponsoring the photo booth and 360 camera, and to all of our volunteers and sponsors who made the night extra special, thank you so much!

If you would like to join in on the fun at next year's Campaign One At A Time gala, please be sure to become a $30 per month #ChangeMaker by December 31st, 2022 by visiting campaignoaat.org/changemaker
