Myla is a 7 year old from New Riegel, OH. Myla has the ability to light up a room with her smile, upbeat positivity, and her determination to succeed. She has a kind heart and is always putting others before herself. Myla’s journey started when she developed a lump on her neck. The next morning, she had a really swollen face. Myla was rushed to urgent care for emergency bloodwork. Her blood counts were critical she was transferred to the Nationwide Children's Hospital. At the hospital, she was diagnosed with Pre B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Since her cancer diagnosis, she has had countless ER visits and admittances. Just after she was finally home, Myla started experiencing excruciating stomach pains and was rushed to the ER. The doctors discovered she had intussusception, where her bowels were overlapping due to some medication. It was also discovered that she has a duplex kidney and Charcot Marie Tooth, a rare hereditary nerve disease. Myla became completely debilitated to the point she could not walk, use her hands, and even started having paralyzed vocal cords. She was fit for AFO leg braces, and spent two weeks in inpatient therapy rehab to learn to walk again. She had braces on her hands and feet, and had to go through intense physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
