“What was Peyton like before diagnosis? What did Peyton enjoy doing?

I know I’m pretty biased because I’m her mother. But Peyton is and has always been a joy to be around. Her personality is infectious. She loves to dance and sing and she’s truly a light in any room.

What was it like getting the news? Getting the news that Peyton had leukemia was devastating. How could this happen?

Why is this happening ?

Cancer ?

Will we celebrate her sweet 16 together ? Even though that so much further in the future these are the thoughts that I had in my head.

Is it my fault?

It has to be my fault!!

What did I give her ?

What did I do???

How has her diagnosis changed her? How has the diagnosis changed the family? I can honestly say her diagnosis helped her in the process of becoming more friendly & outgoing. Prior to her diagnosis she was a little shy and stuck to me like glue. Now she’s a little more free and will engage with other children on her own.

What has Peyton missed out on? What has the family missed out on?

She missed out on school. Her first time in school was for kindergarten which she did amazing in. Missed out on traveling a lot because monetary wise I had to figure out his to budget being as tho I didn’t work the whole time she was on treatment.

I’ve missed out on me time if you want me to be completely honest and transparent. I’ve never been anywhere with out Peyton: I spend my days making sure that she lives the best life that she can. One that is Fulfilling, fun and nurturing. So I neglect myself and the that I need.”
