Board Member, President of Hounds Town USA
Jackie is the President of Hounds Town, Inc., a full service pet care franchise system with over 50 locations in 10 states. She began her Hounds Town journey in 2013, as a customer. After bringing her two dogs Maggie and Cesar for regular daycare, she quickly realized the differentiators of the brand and began to ask Mike: “why aren’t you franchising this?” Soon after, she left her career as a book editor for Abrams Books and began working full-time for Hounds Town. After building revenue and profits at the corporate store by more than 100% over two years, she then focused on developing a franchise plan to expand out of state. In her tenure, she grew the system from 3 units to over 50 and paved the way for Hounds Town to become one of the leading pet care systems in the country. In her role today, she focuses on growing the brand nationally, overseeing system operations, leading the corporate team, and managing two corporate stores. Additionally, Jackie has a master’s degree in Journalism and is the author of many books on real estate, green living, and Home Cooking for Your Dog, which has sold more than 25,000 copies. She has also helped lead and develop programs for Hounds Town Charities-the philanthropic entity of Hounds Town, Inc.-such as the Handcuffs to Heeling program rolled out with local correctional facilities and the Brookhaven Animal Shelter in 2018.
