Cheyleia is an 11 year old from Kahalu’u, Hawaii. She is very strong minded and is not afraid to let others know how she feels. Cheyleia’s journey started when she would often complain of headaches and started to lose her balance, which led her parents to take her to the emergency room and that was the day that changed their lives forever.
An MRI revealed that Cheyleia has a tumor, Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). There is no cure for DIPG to date and most children have between 6- 9 months from diagnosis to live. Her parents were told the words that no parents want to hear. “We are sorry, your child has DIPG, go home and make memories.”
While the doctors have given her 14 months to live from the time of diagnosis, she still has some fight in her.
We are on a mission is to raise $10,000 in the month of November to send Cheyleia and her family on a trip to Disneyland to create more beautiful memories together for Cheyleia’s birthday in December!
It will cost $10,000 to fulfill our goal to cover the costs of Cheyleia's dream trip to Disneyland with her family.
If just 250 people gave $40, we would reach this goal!
Any funds raised exceeding Cheyleia's goal will go towards our dream bank, to help more kids like Cheyleia.
And the best part?
If you donate $25 today, we will send you a limited edition #Mana4Cheyleia bracelet!
